Impetuous Meetings with Myself: Dancing with Ducklegănger, Mike Perry’s the second solo New York exhibition at RICHARD TAITTINGER GALLERY. This exhibition took an exuberant jab at the mischievous playground of offbeat magnetism, pulling the viewer in with a signature color that leaped from the canvas. The breakout from the mundane ransacked the senses with soft angles and brandished hues, creating an experience that was nothing but fun in its purest form. Perry's playfulness and positivity were on full display, along with his hypercolored world and duck musings. The exhibition aimed to expand upon the themes of self-exploration, leaving us with the task of dissecting the disposition of the rambunctious youthful joy still flirting with our hearts. Impetuous Meetings with Myself: Dancing with Ducklegănger asked us to search out and reconnect with our inner giddy spirit animal, and opened on September 23rd, 2023 at Richard Taittinger Gallery in New York.

Still Now is Here: Woolgather Together, Perry’s inaugural solo exhibition at The Richard Taittinger Gallery. Perry's work celebrates life and is known for its pop sensibility and energy. The exhibit focuses on the idea of living in the moment despite the chaos of the world and sharing that wonder with others. Perry's inspiration comes from his community and his fascination with outer space and inner battles. The exhibition, inspired by Ram Dass, invites the audience on a playful exploration of self and encourages shedding fears of imperfection while embracing the mysterious. Perry's work offers a bright-hued attack on the senses, similar to the works of Keith Haring, Claes Oldenburg, and Red Grooms, and further establishes the idea that art can be fun.

"Put and Ponder" 2020 was a highly anticipated exhibition by Brooklyn-based artist Mike Perry, in collaboration with designer and builder J Bell, that unfortunately never had the chance to be seen by the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition was intended to be a miniature golf course that celebrated the glory of playfulness, with each of the 9 holes custom built for maximum fun.

Perry and Bell had spent 10 years collecting materials in their studio to use in the construction of the course, resulting in a unique and eclectic mix of found objects and handmade creations. Visitors to the exhibition would have been treated to an immersive experience that blended Perry's signature style of bright colors and playful forms with the physical engagement of mini-golf.

Despite the disappointment of the exhibition never opening to the public, "Put and Ponder" stands as a testament to Perry's creativity and dedication to making art that sparks joy and encourages playfulness.

Garis & Hahn gallery in Los Angeles hosted an exhibition by New York-based artist Mike Perry titled Intoxicating Pollen Wiggling in a Moist Journey of Constantly Blooming Tides in September 2017. The exhibition featured twelve new works, including a new series of mobile sculptures titled "Inner Thoughts." The show displayed kaleidoscopic abstractions and ebullient distillations of the pop and surrealist canon, representing a further evolution in the artist's practice. The large-scale paintings embodied all the signature elements of Perry's work with un-naturalistic colors, intricately distorted compositions, and a hand-drawn aesthetic. Perry explored how light becomes liquid and rendered unseen forces, such as gravitational waves, blurring boundaries of bodies, creating hypnotic whirlpools in the midst of his portraits.

In April 2016, Garis & Hahn held an exhibition of new works on canvas by the New York-based painter and illustrator, Mike Perry, entitled "Intoxicating Pollen Wiggling in a Moist Journey of Constantly Blooming Tides," curated by Cassandra Johnson. The exhibition, which ran from April 22 to May 29, 2016, showcased a series of kaleidoscopic abstractions and ebullient distillations of the pop and surrealist canon, representing a significant evolution in Perry’s practice. The large-scale paintings embodied all the signature elements of Perry’s work, such as unnaturalistic colors, intricately distorted compositions, and a hand-drawn aesthetic, while also exhibiting many of the preoccupations with form shared by the Fauvists and German Expressionists. The exhibition's focus on the nude promoted experimentation in rendering the human body, while Perry explored how light becomes liquid and rendered unseen forces such as gravitational waves. The series revealed a vibrant, sanguine figuration, featuring a diptych of an orgy represented by bright lines and curves that flow across a blue and black background, among other works.

In 2014, Amsterdam-based Gallery 33 hosted an exhibition of the prints created by artist Mike Perry during his stay in Antwerp as part of The Jaunt project. Instead of creating a single print, Perry produced fifty original artworks, which he added to and personalized throughout his stay. Perry's use of colors created an almost iridescent atmosphere in his work, and he remained varied in media, style, and subject matter. The exhibition showcased prints, designs, and illustrations from Perry's prolific and prismatic artistic career. The show opened on September 5, 2014, and ran until September 12, 2014, with an opening reception held on the first day.

Brooklyn artist Mike Perry's recent project, Wondering Around Wandering (WAW), is a 7,000 sq-ft creative wonderland nestled away amidst rows of former industrial spaces in Crown Heights. Conceived by Perry, and designed and built by J Bell, WAW doubles as both a free exhibition space and community event space for art making and exploring the opportunities of incorporating art in all its forms into everyday life. WAW is a revolutionary new concept in the way an art space interacts with the community. Eschewing a typical NYC gallery opening process, Perry began with a concept that everything had to be community-oriented and free ...free entry, free refreshments, free classes, free workshops, free concerts, and all of it had to be available to people of all ages and abilities. After several months of preparation, WAW opened on September 15th with over 500 people in attendance.

A celebrated graphic artist, illustrator and maker, Mike Perry is known for his big ideas. With his finger on the pulse of the design world and a keen sense of Brooklyn's ever-changing socio-economic geography, Perry quickly recognized that if a space like WAW were to succeed in Crown Heights then the Crown Heights community had to be part of the process. Perry built bridges with local shops and artisans in the community and worked with them to create a full list of WAW events that would be available to people of all ages and abilities. When Mike Perry moved his studio to Crown Heights seven years ago he felt he had found his home in Brooklyn. Wondering Around Wandering is a thank-you letter to the Crown Heights community that Mike adores and the start of a dialogue regarding art's role in helping to transform Brooklyn's abandoned industrial spaces.
